Through Synergy and Training, Building a Sustainable Cocoa Plantation

In a continued commitment to community empowerment and sustainable agricultural practices, PT Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL) and its strategic partner, Berau Cocoa, held a Cocoa Field School Program on its assisted land on Wednesday, March 23, 2025. The event was attended by cocoa farmers under the mentorship and support of ABL.

The training focused on the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)—a standard that promotes responsible, sustainable, and efficient farming techniques aimed at improving both crop yields and environmental stewardship.

The program served not only as an educational platform but also as a space for knowledge exchange between experts and local farmers, fostering stronger collaboration in building a future-ready, sustainable cocoa industry in the region.

“This training has truly helped me understand cocoa farming better. I’m excited to start applying what I’ve learned to our own plantation,” said Lukman, one of the farmers mentored by PT ABL.

This initiative reflects ABL’s ongoing commitment to creating long-term value for local communities through sustainable development, innovation, and inclusive collaboration.
