On Thursday, 23 July 2026, in Berau, East Kalimantan, ABL Group, in collaboration with BRIN and the Berau Regency Government, officially kicked off the implementation of PITARA Ver. 2 (Pirolisis Tabung Bertingkat) at TPS3R Pulau Derawan.

More than introducing a new technology, this initiative was designed to create a sustainable ecosystem where plastic waste is transformed into alternative fuel, local communities are empowered through hands-on training, and innovation is applied directly to address real environmental challenges.

Developed as a Living Laboratory, the program brought together government, researchers, industry, and the local community to build a circular economy model that can be replicated across Indonesia's island regions.

As part of ABL Group's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment, this initiative reflected our belief that meaningful impact is achieved through strong partnerships, practical innovation, and shared responsibility.

Together with BRIN and our stakeholders, we reaffirmed our commitment to advancing sustainable waste management, empowering local communities, and supporting Indonesia's transition toward a more circular and sustainable future.
