On December 6, 2024, Asian Bulk Logistics proudly marked a significant milestone in our CSR journey. Collaborating with Berau Cocoa, we launched an initiative to empower the coastal community of Tanjung Batu. 

Representing the entire management team, Mr. Hermawan, our CHRO, led the kickoff of this meaningful CSR program. The event was also attended by Mr. Samsudin Amba Kadang, the Head of Derawan Subdistrict, Mr. Andi Pemilu, the Deputy Head of Derawan Subdistrict, and various other prominent figures whose contributions we deeply value. 

As part of this initiative, 1,358 cocoa seedlings were distributed to four fishermen to cultivate on two hectares of land. This program offers an alternative income source, especially during challenging seasons when fishing becomes less viable due to the northern and southern wave cycles. 

This effort aligns with our ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals, supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in reducing poverty, creating decent work opportunities, and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships for shared prosperity. 

We hope that through this collaboration, the people of Tanjung Batu will experience tangible benefits, and cocoa from this region will flourish into a flagship product that bolsters the local economy.
