Berau, October 1, 2025 — As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing maritime safety and operational efficiency, PT Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL) organized the Safe Operational Coordination Meeting for users of the Berau River channel on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
The meeting, hosted by ABL, was attended by representatives from KUPP Class II Tanjung Redeb, led by Capt. Fatah Khoirul A, S.H., M.Mar., as well as key stakeholders from the Tarakan Navigation District, PT Pelindo, and various port and shipping operators active in the Berau area.
Representing ABL’s management, Mr. Tenggar M. Siregar, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to address operational challenges along the Berau River.
“Safety is at the heart of ABL’s operations. Through coordination and shared responsibility among all stakeholders, we can ensure that the Berau River remains a safe and efficient route for maritime activities,” said Mr. Siregar.
The discussion covered several critical issues impacting navigation and fleet operations, including narrow channel sections, shallow riverbeds, and sedimentation build-up.
