ABL Develops Future Leaders Through Strategic and Real-World Learning Experience

Berau, October 6-9, 2025  PT Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL) continues to strengthen its commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders through the Graduate Development Program (GDP) — a comprehensive initiative designed to bridge strategic understanding with real-world execution. The program offers participants an integrated learning journey covering the full spectrum of mining and marine shipping operations, from mine to port to ship.

Following the official launch of the GDP, ABL organized a Mining Visit from October 6 to 9, 2025, providing participants with direct exposure to upstream operations. The visit included the Gurimbang site, one of ABL’s key mining operation areas, where participants observed daily mining activities and learned about the coordination between mine planning, logistics, and vessel scheduling.

The journey continued to Port Gurimbang, managed by the Asian Berdikari Cemerlang (ABC) team under the ABL Group, where participants explored port operations and gained a deeper understanding of its strategic role within ABL’s end-to-end logistics value chain.

In addition to operational learning, the GDP participants also visited Tanjung Batu, a location where ABL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are implemented. These initiatives include a cocoa cultivation project with local fishermen and a grouper hatchery program in collaboration with SMKN 3 Berau. The visit provided valuable insights into how ABL integrates social impact and environmental sustainability into its business operations.

The program will continue with Ship Visits across ABL’s Coal Transshipment System (CTS) and Tug & Bargeoperations, allowing participants to experience the complete logistics chain and observe firsthand the synergy between marine and mining operations.

“At ABL, we believe that leadership is built through both strategic thinking and hands-on experience,” said Mr. [Insert Name], Head of Human Capital & Development at ABL. “Through this program, we aim to cultivate agile, responsible, and visionary leaders who will drive the company’s growth and contribute to Indonesia’s sustainable logistics future.”

By combining strategic learning with field-based exposure, ABL reaffirms its commitment to developing future-ready leaders capable of driving transformation and sustainable growth — from Indonesia to the world.
