As the Chief Officer onboard Bulk Java, stationed in Samarinda, my main responsibility is to support the captain in managing all deck operations. From navigation readiness to ensuring the crew’s performance on deck, every day presents both challenges and opportunities to grow.
It’s a role that demands precision, leadership, and teamwork but it's also one that I embrace with pride.
One of the most memorable moments in my career came in 2023, when I was honored to receive the Best Officer of the Year award. As part of this recognition, I was rewarded with a family trip to Tanjung Bira, a beautiful experience that reminded me how hard work, when done with sincerity, does not go unnoticed.
This journey, both as a seafarer and as a family man, continues to motivate me to give my best every day at sea and beyond.
I truly hope that PT ABL continues to grow stronger and more successful in the years ahead.
